Allegro Ma Non Troppo is a welcoming music studio for children, teens, adults, and families in Ottawa — plus curious learners joining us online.
Our approach
We look for the spark first: the song you cannot stop humming, the instrument you have always wanted to try, or the school-band passage that almost makes sense.
Then we build from there with loving, practical pedagogy that strengthens technique, musicality, and confidence at the same time. Your repertoire should sound like you.

Gabriela holds a Master of Music in Performance and Pedagogy and brings 7 years of teaching experience, including 4 years of group and individual experience.
Her body-aware teaching helps students play with ease while preventing tension and injury. She tailors each lesson to the learner, listens carefully, and keeps the room friendly.
Piano practiceFlute · Theory · Beginner piano · Ukulele
Karen holds a Master of Music in Performance and Pedagogy and is Suzuki-trained. She teaches flute, music theory, beginner piano, and ukulele with a warm, curious approach.
She loves helping students find their own way into music — and outside the studio, she loves cats and cooking.
